It all started when…

Leane was born and raised in The Pas, MB where she sang in showers, closets, and into hairbrushes in her bedroom, dreaming of becoming a star.  Although she sang in choirs and played in the school band during her formative years, she didn’t really find her voice and start performing publicly until her 30’s when she realized that denying herself this creative expression was killing her spirit.  During her time spent living on both the west and east coasts of Canada, Leane studied under the tutelage of two very different vocal coaches. This diverse training combined with immersing herself in music of every genre has helped her develop her own vocal style as well as a strong rhythmic backbone.  Her powerful voice has been likened with such greats as Stevie Nicks, Anne Wilson, Johnette Napolitano, and Jim Morrison.
